Was my Seattle DUI arrest video or audio-taped?

Roughly 90% of the potential clients I meet with are under the impression that their DUI arrest was audio and video recorded. Unfortunately, this is the case only roughly 35% of the time. As a general rule, I am ALWAYS happy to learn that a client's arrest was audio/video recorded. You may think: If your client was likely intoxicated, why would you want them to have been recorded? The Answer: Subjects will, without question, look/sound significantly better on video/audio than they will read in a law enforcement officer's narrative. Cops don't get pats on the back for writing accurate and fair police reports that allow elite DUI Defense attorneys to successfully argue Motions to Dismiss or win Jury Trials. Rather, law enforcement officers are, in fact, trained to write narratives that significantly embellish and falsify supposed impairment. Furthermore, as I tell potential new clients, "Law Enforcement Officers can't lie when there is audio/video. I should note that I am specifically aware of atleast two law enforcement agencies who outfitted their patrol vehicles with audio/video only to have such removed at the urging of prosecutors, who apparently didn't appreciate the newfound clarity that audio/video provided. All in all, these recordings are often valuable tools to ensure that the lies of an officer won't be accepted.

At present time, some of the law enforcement agencies who provide their officers' patrol vehicles with audio/video cameras include: the City of Seattle DUI squad, WSP's Target Zero, City of Mercer Island, City of Puyallup, City of Lynnwood, etc...
